Her latest creation, a time-traveling device, had been years in the making. The contraption, resembling a large, metallic sphere with flashing lights and wires, was nearly complete.

SpongeBob, being his usual curious self, had wandered into Sandy's laboratory, searching for his friend. As he explored the room, he stumbled upon the time-traveling device.
